Digital Asset Secures $135M Funding to Expand Canton Network’s RWA Integration
Digital Asset, the firm behind the Canton Network, has closed a $135 million strategic funding round led by Tradeweb Markets and DRW Venture Capital. The investment consortium reads like a who's who of finance, with participation from BNP Paribas, Citadel Securities, Goldman Sachs, and other institutional heavyweights.
The capital injection will accelerate institutional adoption of Canton Network, currently the only public Layer-1 blockchain offering configurable privacy with enterprise-grade compliance. Hundreds of billions in real-world assets—including bonds, money market funds, and insurance products—are slated for blockchain integration following this raise.
Notably, several investors already participate in Canton's Global Synchronizer Foundation, signaling deepening commitment to the network's development. The round underscores growing institutional conviction in blockchain's capacity to transform traditional finance infrastructure.
